Joel Runyon posted a great article on his blog entitled “An Unexpected Ass Kicking” that is a story about Joel meeting Russell Kirsch – the inventor of the first programable computer – in a coffee shop in Portland. There was one quote from Kirsch that resonated with me, especially when I comes to my writing:

“Nothing is withheld from us what we have conceived to do.”

Basic translation: nothing can stop you if you have decided to pursue a goal and have truly set out to do it, nothing. It’s a good thing to remember, especially when faced with that blank page.
